Confidence and Building Confidence

Robert Naini, your Spray Foam Advisor, talks about confidence – specifically, how confidence helps you do everything better and how to build confidence.

Confidence allows us to do everything that we try to do at a higher level, just flat-out better than when we are not confident.

If you think about anything that you want to do, anything that you do on a regular basis, anything that you’re good at or anything that you want to be good at, you do the best, you execute most effectively and most efficient when you are confident.

We see this time and time again, primarily in sports, that’s probably the best analogy.

Almost any sports activity that we try to do, when we are confident in what we’re doing, when we’re confident that we know the process, that we know how to do it, that is when we are going to be most effective and most efficient.

Why does this happen? It happens because we let loose, we relax a little bit when we are confident.

This happens not only in sports and athletic events, but it also happens in business, it happens, for example, in presentations.

Someone who is confident with presentations and talking in front of people, they are relaxed, and they excel because their confidence and their comfort is high.

You see this in sales, you see this with spraying foam, a confident applicator is more effective and more efficient than an applicator that is just starting out, who may not be as confident in their skills.

So how do you build confidence?

The best way to build confidence is repetition.

Whatever it is that you’re trying to get better at, whatever it is that you want to be more confident doing, the best way to build confidence is by doing it more often.

Basically, you do it so many times that it becomes muscle memory and ingrained in you.

Whether it is presentations or spraying foam, if you practice the actions, practice your transitions, and practice your technique, you will get better; getting better will improve your confidence and as your confidence increases the process you are working on “feels” easier.

That is the tip for today, build confidence in any activity with repetition. This has been Robert Naini with Spray Foam Advisor, thanks for checking us out and catch me on some more videos.
