SPFA Convention, Breakout Session 1

A significant part of attending the SPFA Convention each year is the opportunity to learn from others in the industry. This is facilitated, in part, by the sheer number of sessions offered each and every year. The biggest challenge is choosing which one session to attend at any given time. Here were the options during the first breakout session:

  • What’s in your contract? Essential provisions, warranties and other key provisions. by Robert Weil
  • Spray Foam Coalition in Action for Our Industry by Justin Koscher, Clarence Tolbert, Paul Duffy, Todd Wishneski
  • SPF Roofing Final Inspection by Robb Smith
  • The Need for Ventilation and Moisture Control for Health, Comfort and Sustainability by Nikki Krueger
  • Insurance Investigations: RICOWI/SPFA Best Practices Guide by Roger Morrison
  • Systems Development & Innovation by Robert Lepage
  • Remediating Problems in Foam Plastic Insulation Installations by Henri Fennell
  • Metal Buildings and SPF – Current Research by Rick Duncan

If you want to see more about these sessions, keep an eye out on the SPFA website as they usually publish the slide presentations a few weeks after the convention.

I chose to attend Systems Development & Innovation, presented by Robert Lepage. Here is the session description from the SPFA guide:

Bob Lepage discusses innovation and opening new markets with ccSPF, including innovative approaches to bringing existing structures into alignment with current energy codes and rules, ongoing development of the “Shell System” wall & ceiling assembly for new construction and examines sustainability and how it can impact marketing strategies.

Bob was happy to allow me to record and share his presentation, here it is:

FYI, I presented in the third session – 3 Ways to Close More Sales with Building Science and will send that video out in a private link to my blog subscribers on Friday; thank you for subscribing, tell your friends to subscribe here.
