Last week we discussed The Brain.
This week we discuss The Sixth Sense, Napoleon Hill’s Thirteenth Characteristic of Successful People. This is the apex of Hill’s overall philosophy. It can be understood and put into use only by first mastering the other 12 principles.
The Sixth Sense is part of the subconscious mind and has been referred to as the “Creative Imagination” and the “receiving” portion of the Brain. Mastering the first 12 principles and developing the Sixth Sense will prepare you to avoid dangers and embrace opportunities.
Napoleon Hill also conducted imaginary council meetings with a group he called my “Invisible Counselors”. He identified persons he wanted to emulate and gain qualities from and just before going to bed at night, he would shut his eyes and see, in his imagination, this group of mean seated around a council table where he acted as Chairman.
In these imaginary council meetings he called on his cabinet members for the knowledge he wished each to contribute. These men included: Emerson, Paine, Edison, Darwin, Lincoln, Burbank, Napoleon, Ford and Carnegie; and later he added many more.
These concepts are obviously unfamiliar to most people, however they should be of great interest to the person that wants to create success and accumulate vast wealth. You should definitely get your own copy of Think and Grow Rich – read it, study it and develop your own understanding of these concepts.
Stay tuned to learn more from Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. Next week we will review Hill’s guidance on overcoming fear.
